Social Media Indeed!

By Peter - Last updated: Wednesday, March 30, 2011

Quite a few years back now Sue and I decided to run a pub/restaurant – I know it sounds silly but we did. At that time I did say “wonderful – now I need never use a computer again” – how wrong could I be.

Four years ago – when we first set up Toys & Learning as specialist educational toy retailers – I was able to say – with equally foolish confidence – no social media for me – not now – not ever.

So here we are today having spent a happy few hours – sort of – so to speak.

Who Would Believe It ?

Certainly this is not what we expected – we added Elmer the Elephant to our new stock items just this month, January 2010, and it immediately became our best seller.

To go to zero stock within 3 days was a surprise.

When we decided to expand the range of soft toys we carefully selected the ones that were fun as well as pretty & cuddly. Elmer the Elephant came in because of such bright colour and colour contrasts.

We are proud of our whole range of soft toys but maybe Elmer should take pride of place.

Bring on more Soft Toys

A strange day to update a blog – but our season is behind us and we look forward to improving our range for 2010.

Soft Toys have become a major product line up – not just any old soft toys – but soft toys that go with early reading books – helping young children associate reading with comfort and security.

We already include Paddington Bear, Peter Rabbit and The Very Hungry Caterpillar – now we can have some real fun with some Amazing Baby Developmental Toys plus Spot the Dog, The Enormous Crocodile, Elmer the Elephant and Stripy Horse.
