Orchard Toys – New – Autumn 2012

Each year Orchard Toys release new products in the spring and then summer/autumn.

This autumn we have three super products that are all proving to be best sellers – Where’s My Cupcake Game – Jungle Express Jigsaw – Monster Catcher Game.

Where’s my cupcake actually came out in June so we can already see it is one of our most popular games – just looking at the box with the picture of scrummy pink cupcakes you can see how attractive a game it is for children around the age of 3 or more. Using this everyday product helps children identify with and enjoy the process of playing and learning to count – normal Orchard Toys brilliant approach to educational toys and play.

Orchard’s Best Sellers

We always track our best selling Orchard Toys and compare what happens here with the best sellers list produced by Orchard themselves.

Not surprisingly I suppose our list is amazingly and consistently in line with Orchard’s list. – It does vary a little month by month but for the last three months – April May & June – Shopping List has been top of the tree – we understand it has been the top seller for years – not surprising really when you think of what the game has within it.
It is aimed at children between the ages of three and seven and is a bright, colourful fun game. It involves enabling a child to use and expand their memory skills in trying to fill their shopping trolley first – back come natural competitive attitudes – great!

Price Reductions & Favourites

Two things this month

Firstly we have made significant price reductions to all the items we stock from Gibsons – that is all their family games – all their children’s puzzles – and all their quality jigsaw puzzles

Secondly we have put together our own favourites page

All we have here is to take a representative sample of Orchard Toys children’s games and some of the Schleich models – all of them are ones that make us smile!

For the Schleich models we have taken three each of – African Wild Animal, here a group of elephants – Dinosaurs – Replica Dinosaurs – Knights on horseback.

Brilliant New Orchard Toys

This autumn we have seven new educational products from Orchard Toys – our favourite is the Little Diplodocus double sided dinosaur puzzle.

Each year Orchard widen their range by introducing new products

This year we have two new games for the under 5 year olds – Head Shoulders Knees & Toes – brilliant – “and eyes and ears and mouth and nose!” and a fun counting and colours game – Jack & Jill

We also have five new jigsaw puzzles for the under 5 year olds – in the talkabout floor puzzle range we have The Animal Game – with animals running around an athletics field – how to enthuse an Olympic 3 year old!

The we have a whole new range of double sided puzzles for age 3 plus – these are just superb – have a look at them

Jigsaws from Orchard Toys Encourage Learning And Play

It’s fantastic to see the imagination and innovation displayed by some of our collections such as the Orchard Toys jigsaws. They truly demonstrate our ethos of learning through play and the great role puzzles such as these can play.

For a real demonstration of how inspiring jigsaws can be look at Abbots Langley Community Centre, in Watford, which has drawn in hundreds of admirers to see a collection of 400 completed jigsaws.

The jigsaws had been assembled by a team of volunteers over the weeks leading up to the event before being carefully transported in separated segments to the display location.
